Dolomite Bio’s Nadia and PacBio’s Sequel system demonstrate the ability to perform Single cell isoform sequencing to identify novel full-length mRNAs
In his AGBT 2019 presentation, PacBio’s Jason Underwood shared results of a collaborative project with Evan Eichler’s and Alex Pollen’s labs using Dolomite Bio’s Nadia Instrument together with the PacBio Sequel System for single cell isoform sequencing.
Data comparing chimp and human cerebral organoids as a model for primate brain development resulted in information about 14,000 unique genes and exciting insights into new full-length mRNAs, post-transcriptional gene regulation (accurate localization of polyadenylation signals), isoform expression in specific cell types and use of species-specific transcription start sites.
