nadia3D kit

Construct the future of single cell research with the nadia3D kit

nadia3D is a complete, standardized, streamlined kit for 3D cell culture workflows.

Encapsulate up to one million cells in collagen-based micro-scaffolds in under 30 mins with the Nadia Instrument.

The kit means scientists can now achieve 3D culture in a high throughput manner while maintaining single cell identities and also expect a high perfusion rate of medium or assayed substance into and out of the culture.

COMING SOON– the nadia3D kit will launch on 20.07.2022, sign up to receive an email notifying you on the launch day when nadia3D will be available to order

Three dimensional cell culture

3D cell cultures, such as organoids and spheroids, have distinct advantages over 2D cultures for diverse cell and tissue types as they more closely mimic the natural environments of the cell.

How does this benefit my research?
By culturing cells in a 3D manner, the cell physiology is more analogous to that of cells within a living tissue. This means that the results of assays performed in 3D conditions are more representative of the results you would expect from a living system.

nadia3D downstream applications

Control over monoclonality for your downstream workflows, with applications in:

  • The development of novel culture techniques for fastidious cell lines
  • Disease modelling
  • Identification of novel drug targets
  • Pharmaceutical screening

Features and benefits of nadia3D

High throughput encapsulation of up to 1 million cell in one run No microfluidic knowledge required – all scaffold production done with single use, prefabricated consumables
Throughput flexibility RNAdia Throughput flexibility choose to run 1, 2, 4 or 8 lanes at once Sample compatibility RNAdia Very high sample compatibility – broad cell size range
streamlined workflow RNAdia Compatible with cytometric analyses- cell-containing agarose scaffolds can be flow-processed for cell analysis 3D cell culture – promote cell growth in a physiologically relevant manner from one or more cells
Temperature controlled process for robust encapsulation and scaffold construction Compatible with cell release
The nadia3D kit produces collagen-based scaffolds that can be later digested to release cells

Our platform

Nadia Instrument

The Nadia Instrument

The Nadia Instrument is an automated, microfluidic droplet-based platform for single cell research that encapsulates up to 8 samples, in parallel, in under 30 mins. Up to one million cells can be captured per cartridge in a run.

The fully automated Nadia Instrument guides users through all relevant steps of the experiment via an easy-to-use touchscreen interface. With single use chips and flexible control over parameters such as temperature and pressure, the Nadia instrument is ideally suited for your 3D cell culture research projects.

Sample encapsulation RNAdia

Sample preparation

Nadia can process cells of various sizes, including over 50 um in length such as cardiomyocytes. The nadia3D kit is designed to be used with PBS buffer.

Wide sample compatibility: Nadia can process cells of various sizes, including large cells over 50 um.

Run RNAdia

Single cell scaffold production on Nadia

Single cell-containing 3D collagen scaffolds are constructed on Nadia using the nadia3D kit. The Nadia is an automated, microfluidic droplet-based platform for single cell research that encapsulates up to 8 samples, in parallel, in under 30 mins. Up to 1 million single cells can be captured in a single run.

Standardized, reproducible encapsulation of cells in a 3D collagen matrix.

Cell culture and experimentation!

Experiment with your cell-containing 3D collagen scaffolds! What you do now totally depends on what you want to find out! From pharmaceutical compound screening to seeding for spheroid or organoid growth; do your experiments your way.

Single cell-containing collagen scaffolds are compatible with a variety of downstream workflows.

Cell release

The scaffolds produced with the nadia3D kit can be later digested to release the cells captured inside them. If you want to subject them to a set of entirely different conditions or process them for particular analyses, you can.

Cells can be liberated from their 3D scaffolds for further analyses.

FAQS

In what form is the hydrogel supplied in the nadia3D kit?
The hydrogel in the nadia3D kit is provided as a liquid which must be kept cold during processing.

How many samples can I run in parallel?
You can run from 1 to 8 samples in parallel.

How many cells can you run?
Up to 5000 cells/ul.

How do you recover cells from scaffolds?

The use of a combination of collagenase, DMEM and CaCl2 can help dissolve scaffolds while maintaining cell viability. See application note for more details. Note: the reagents for digesting collagen scaffolds are not provided in the nadia3D kit

How long can you store scaffolds after recovery?
The collagen scaffolds can remain stable for up to a week; however, we recommend immediately processing the scaffolds due to cell viability.

What is the size of scaffolds produced?
Median size is 80 um
