Volume 1 – Microfluidics for Biology

In life sciences, microfluidics is used to study biological processes at the cellular and molecular level. Microfluidics has previously been used in the study of single cells, vaccine development, and drug discovery.

It has advantages in “the use of small volumes and precise liquid handling, which enable cost-effective high-throughput biochemical assays and diagnostics” (Ortseifen et al.)

Nevertheless, the questions on what microfluidics technology is, what it can do and how to get started with a microfluidics experiment for a new application are not often discussed among biologists.

In this webinar, we’ll share with you about the fundamentals of microfluidics and how the technology can be used for different biology experiments. A 10-mins demo on our Nadia platform will also show you how easy it is to start your first microfluidics experiment with your current lab settings.
