Alita Zabrecky
Why is your work important?
Being in sales, within a brand like Dolomite Bio, you have a unique opportunity to connect customers with technology that can further their research goals. I think current biological research will have a profound impact on our future as a human race so even getting to play the smallest part in that is very special to me.
What do you hope the impact of your work will be?
I hope the impact of my work, and our work as a company, will be to help advance the field of biology forward, through enabling our customers research goals
How did you come to be working on this topic/in this field?
I started looking for Technical Sales jobs after finishing up my master’s degree in Biomedical science. I knew I wanted to embark in a career that kept science and biology close, however, I also knew that I did not want to work as a bench scientist. I was fortunate enough to land an interview with Blacktrace (Dolomite Bio) and was instantly drawn to the technology and space that the company operated in as well as the culture of Blacktrace (Dolomite Bio) as a company. When I was offered the job, I did not hesitate to accept!
What’s your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of the job is working with our customer base. We are fortunate to have some wonderful customers working on some very interesting projects. To get to work closely with them and help bring our technology into their labs is the most satisfying part of my job.
